Karl-Anthony Towns remained on the New York Knicks’ injury report against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night.
The veteran star is dealing with tightness in his left calf. Throughout the start of the 2025-2026 NBA season, Towns has had great health, but he missed his first set of action on December 7.
Without Towns, the Knicks dropped their matchup against the Orlando Magic 106-100. Now, Tuesday’s game against the Raptors holds more weight, as it’s the NBA Cup quarter-finals.
Will Karl-Anthony Towns Face the Raptors?
The Knicks planned to decide on Towns’ status after he underwent his pregame warmups. Fortunately, the veteran center felt good after testing his calf out. Therefore, he is cleared to play on Tuesday.
Towns is in the midst of his second season with the Knicks. Last year, he missed just 10 games throughout the regular season.
With reliable availability, Towns managed to play at a high level and notch another All-Star appearance for himself. It was his second-straight appearance in the big game.
This season, Towns has been off to another strong start for the Knicks. Prior to his latest setback, the veteran center had appeared in 22 games. Seeing the court for 33.1 minutes per game, Towns averaged 22.5 points, while shooting 46 percent from the field and knocking down 35 percent of his threes.
Along with his scoring, Towns came down with 11.9 rebounds per game and dished out 3.4 assists per outing. He’s been off to an All-Star-caliber start for the sixth time in his career.
Entering Tuesday’s action, the Knicks hold a record of 16-7. They are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Pistons, who have a 2.5-game lead for first.
Meanwhile, the Raptors enter Tuesday’s game as the fourth seed with a 15-10 record. They have lost their last three games, while the Knicks have now won three in a row.
The two teams are slated for an 8:30 PM ET tip on Tuesday.
