Kourtney Kardashian Video Sparks Debate

Kourtney Kardashian’s latest Instagram video has divided opinion online.

On Tuesday, the reality star shared a clip of the hundreds of pink and white roses she received for Mother’s Day. Some of the flowers were delivered as bushes, while others were grouped together in classical white urns.

Kardashian is mom to Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, with her ex-partner Scott Disick. She is also mother to infant Rocky Thirteen with her rock-star husband Travis Barker.

“In pajamas all day, croissant picnic with my babies, long family walks, dinner and a movie under the stars and moon with lots of flowers = the perfect Mother’s Day,” the 45-year-old captioned the post. “Soooo thankful!!”

However, the video caused controversy among her 223 million followers. Many criticized The Kardashians star, calling the display “vulgar” and “disgraceful.” Newsweek has reached out to Kourtney Kardashian for comment via email.

“Shame on you Kourtney,” commented Aslan. “What a waste of flowers,” wrote Claudiah Khastro.

“Why does it always have to be 10x more than the simple life?” asked Olivia Garcia, along with an eye-rolling emoji.

“So disgusting. Abundant displays of wealth while the whole world burns,” posted Kerry Lynn Harnden.

“Imagine how many people you could feed with all that $$,” wrote @rachelsforest.

“Over the top I would be embarrassed to post,” commented Dana Dale-Nichols, while Brenda called the gift “Overkill.”

Others defended the Poosh founder, describing the Mother’s Day surprise as “dreamy” and “perfection.”

“Beautiful,” posted @tasteof_reality. “Obsessed,” wrote Kelley Baker.

“I love the fact they can be planted again,” added Marta Tansey.

“She usually donates them to hospitals – that’s the stuff we wanna hear,” commented Clayton Jay.

“So happy yo see how well loved and appreciated you are,” posted Raquel RC.

“Just wow!” wrote Michelle. “You deserve every bit of it.”

Along with footage of the flowers, Kardashian also shared snippets of the day to Instagram. The video included a breakfast picnic in the garden, which the reality star was guided to by a trail of red rose petals, and a clip of the movie Blended (2014) starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, which the family watched during dinner.

Kardashian isn’t the only one proud to show off their brood. On May 6, Barker posted a rare video of their son, Rocky Thirteen, to Instagram.

The cute clip shows the 48-year-old playing with the infant at the beach, holding his son tight as he paddles in the water. The footage was accompanied by photos of his daughters Atiana De La Hoya, 25, and Alabama Barker, 18, whose mother is Barker’s ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.

The Blink-182 drummer also shares 20-year-old son Landon Asher with the model, whom he was married to from 2004 to 2008.

Barker also praised Kardashian’s parenting skills on Mother’s Day. Posting a photo of his wife cuddling Rocky to Instagram on Sunday, the rocker described Kardashian as “his best friend and partner,” thanking her for “filling our home with love, laughter, and joy.”
