Lab’s Priceless Reaction When Puppy Gets Stairs to Couch: ‘Betrayed’

A family who happily brought home a new puppy quickly learned their other dog was a little less than thrilled about the latest addition after the pup invaded her space on the couch.

The owner told Newsweek that the family welcomed home the puppy in July, and their chocolate Labrador didn’t know how to feel. There were signs she wasn’t a fan of the pup, but it wasn’t until about a month later that the owner captured how the dog truly felt. It was written all over her face; she wanted nothing to do with the rambunctious pup.

The August 10 TikTok video posted to the account @naynayblevins showed the Labrador sitting on the couch, her usual spot to escape the puppy, minding her own business. But much to her surprise, the tiny dog joined her on the couch with assistance from doggy stairs. Her safe haven had been compromised.

Feeling betrayed, her eyes bulged out in disbelief. Her side eye as the puppy moved in front of her spoke volumes. The text on the clip explains exactly what the dog thought: “Who tf got steps for this crazy pup?”

At the end of the clip, she started wiggling her paws anxiously. She didn’t know how to get the puppy off her castle without causing tension. Instead, she just internally hoped the owner would step in and fix it.

While the owner said this dog has mixed feelings about the pup, the caption confirms that “most days,” she isn’t a fan. This moment, in particular, made the puppy lose some brownie points.

“The day of this video, I had just got the little steps, so it was the first time the puppy was able to get up on the couch,” the owner said. “I think that’s why the lab was shocked. The couch had been her safe place from the puppy, and now he was in her space! Ha!”

The hilarious clip amassed over 298,200 views, 35,100 likes and 103 comments on TikTok as of Wednesday.

“Definitely feels betrayed,” commented a TikTok user, while a second person confirmed the dog’s feelings: “They did you so wrong.”

Another jokingly commented: “Homegirl needs a vacation.”

One viewer wrote: “The eyes and then her moving her feet at the end!”
