The Baltimore Ravens entered Sunday’s game 1-5 overall, in desperate need of a win to keep their season alive.
With star quarterback Lamar Jackson still sidelined with a hamstring injury, backup Tyler Huntley stepped in and led the team to a convincing 30-16 victory over the Chicago Bears.
Now 2-5, the Ravens are hopeful that Jackson, who has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 4, will be able to return for Thursday night’s showdown against the Miami Dolphins.
Following the win, Jackson, who was on the sidelines and very vocal with the team, took to social media, posting simply, “Dub Sundays,” accompanied by several emojis. It was Jackson’s first football-related tweet in over a month.

There was significant controversy surrounding Jackson’s status in the 24-48 hours leading up to the game.
Originally listed as a full participant on Friday, it was revealed on Saturday that he had actually practiced with the scout team, meaning he should have been listed as limited instead.
Jackson was ultimately ruled out, and the Ravens now face a potential league investigation for retroactively changing his status.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh addressed the situation during his postgame interview following the team’s Sunday win, describing it as an “honest mistake.”
“I’m not involved in those rules,” Harbaugh told reporters. “I don’t know those particular rules. That was probably — I think in their defense, you know, he practiced a full practice. I think they felt like, because he did the same number of reps, it was a full practice. But when you dig in and you read the rule, at the end of the day it wasn’t right. So that’s what it was. That’s why, as soon as we found out, we changed it.”
