As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the current run of Marvel’s “Fantastic Four” will end with “Fantastic Four” #33. Writer Ryan North will stay on board with Humberto Ramos taking over artistic duties when the new “Fantastic Four” #1 hits stands in July.

The heroes of Marvel Comics are currently contending with the “One World Under Doom” line-wide event in which Doctor Doom, having won the title of Sorcerer Supreme, has declared himself Emperor of the Earth. The Fantastic Four will still be dealing with that storyline when a battle with Doctor Doom sends the four of them scattered through time.
THR has generously included the detail that this will include a fight between The Thing and a dinosaur.
Writer Ryan North says that while there will be plenty of time-hopping superhero fun, the story will be about more than that. “But as much as this first story involves dinosaurs and time travel, it’s really about these four remarkable people and the depth of love they have for each other,” North said. “People often think of the FF in terms of family, and they’re not wrong, but I think there’s something really beautiful about friendship too, and we get to see that with these characters. It’s high-concept science fiction with real emotion. What’s not to like?”
As for what’s to come after the time traveling, North said, “This book comes in the middle of our ‘One World Under Doom’ event, so you can be certain that he plays a role in those first few issues – and after that, we’ve got science mysteries, monsters, and trips into space.”
Not long after the new “Fantastic Four” #1 shows up in the comic book shops, fans will be able to see “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” in theaters. The film is directed by Matt Shakman. It stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Julia Garner and Ralph Ineson. The film bows on July 25.
