Mavericks Increasing Ticket Prices Shortly After Luka Doncic Blockbuster Trade
A month after the Dallas Mavericks shocked and changed the NBA landscape, they have made yet another questionable move.
The Mavericks announced to their season ticket holders that the price for renewals is going up for next season.
Dallas announced there will be an 8.61 percent average overall price increase. A press release from the Dallas Mavericks announced on Monday.
“The Dallas Mavericks remain fully dedicated to delivering the best live game experience in the NBA,” the team said in a statement (via Front Office Sports). “As part of that commitment, ticket pricing adjustments for the 2025-2026 season will reflect ongoing investments in the team and fan engagement.”

This move by the Mavericks is intended to better represent seat value, especially in high-demand sections closest to the court, and upgrade the fan experience with member benefits and in-game entertainment.
Nonetheless, with this adjustment, full-season members will still save 15 percent to 23 percent compared to projected market prices next season and mini-season ticket holders will save 11 to 20 percent, according to the team.
Mavericks fans have had enough of their team after the most devastating trade they may ever see, trading away their franchise star Luka Dončić. The Mavericks traded Dončić on Feb. 1 in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick.
Many Mavericks fans were outraged by the trade, and for some, that remains the case a month after the trade took place.
With all these changes when it comes to their tickets, the teams say that roughly 4,200 seats per game are still below $40.
As things stand, the Mavericks are not in the best position and one they did not think they’d be in at this point in the season.
They are the 10th seed in the loaded Western Conference, the final spot in the play-in. They are four games above the 11th seed and only half a game back of the 6th seed.
The Mavericks have endured a number of injuries to their roster, and the loss of Dončić is something no one saw coming due to the ownership and general manager Nico Harrison.
Dallas still has plenty of time to turn their season around, and once they get healthy, they will be a squad no one wants to face in the playoffs.
