Members of Diddy’s Circle Share Harrowing Stories in Documentary Trailer
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Diddy’s past associates will share their stories of the disgraced rapper in a new documentary, some of which were revealed in a trailer for the new movie.
The Peacock film, Diddy: Making of a Bad Boy, dropped its first trailer on Thursday, January 2, during which multiple members of his circle speak about their experiences with the hip-hop mogul, whose real name is Sean Combs. (The trailer includes interviews with Diddy’s bodyguard. intern, makeup artist and producer.)

“Honestly, I didn’t want to be around him unless there were cameras,” one person shared in the documentary trailer.
Another got more specific.
“I’ve been with Sean for quite a while and I’ve captured a lot of moments,” the second person said, alleging: “Any time a studio or any rooms is red, he’s making love and sex. Some of the ones who went in the room, for sure they were underage.”
Diddy has been behind bars at a Brooklyn detention center since September 2024, when he was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The Bad Boy Records executive, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, awaits trial in May. He has been denied bail three times.
In addition to the federal charges against him, the “I’ll Be Missing You” artist is facing numerous lawsuits, with over 100 men, women and minors accusing him of sex crimes. He has denied all accusations.

Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy “tells the story of Sean Combs’ early years and his decades-long transformation to Puffy and then to Diddy, with crucial insight into the forces that shaped the man and may have made him a monster,” the documentary’s official description reads.
The 90-minute documentary — which will feature interviews with many in his inner circle — is set to premiere on Peacock on Tuesday, January 14.
