Mia Khalifa Takes Aim at Kylie Jenner With Halloween Costumes Remark
Mia Khalifa has criticized one of Kylie Kenner’s Halloween outfits, saying it’s closer to cosplay than an actual costume.
Many celebrities took to Instagram to share their outfits for this year’s holiday, and Jenner was no different.
In one carousel post shared to Instagram, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum appeared entirely naked as an homage to Demi Moore’s 1996 movie Striptease, mimicking the actor’s iconic pose for the film’s theatrical poster while donning a matching black wig. In the film, Moore’s character starts working as a stripper to pay for her daughter’s custody case and soon finds herself involved in a murder mystery.
While some people online have praised Jenner for the photo, media personality and former adult film actress Khalifa has shared her disappointment in posts on X, formerly Twitter.
Newsweek emailed spokespeople for Khalifa and Jenner for comment on Friday.
The entertainment X account belonging to @PopBase shared a side-by-side photo of Jenner replicating Moore in the Striptease poster with the caption: “Kylie Jenner dresses up as Demi Moore in ‘Striptease’ for Halloween.” At the time of writing, the post had been viewed 2.6 million times.
An X user reshared the post and wrote: “‘Dresses up’ and it’s just a PHOTOSHOOT.”
Khalifa was quick to agree, resharing the post to her own account.
“Exactly, this isn’t Halloween it’s COSPLAY,” she commented.
Cosplay is a performance art in which the participants dress in costumes and make-up, representing characters.
In an earlier post on the social media platform Khalifa shared her disapproval of some of the Halloween costumes she has seen this year.
“A lot of y’all don’t know the difference between Halloween and cosplay, and [it’s] ruining the viewing experience for me,” she wrote.
While Khalifa might not approve of Jenner’s picture, Moore certainly does, as she shared the post to her Instagram story. “Love this!” she said in one post before saying Jenner “nailed it” in another.
Moore isn’t the only celebrity that Jenner channeled when dressing up for Halloween this year, as she also unveiled two other costumes for the holiday.

For one, she transformed herself into Jane Fonda’s iconic role as Barbarella in the 1968 film of the same name. In one photo, she was wearing a blonde updo and a metal bralette. Barbarella has many costumes in the movie and in another post shared to Instagram Jenner wore a similar faux fur outfit to the fictional star, complete with silver boots and furry tail.
Jenner’s Halloween costumes weren’t done there, as she and her sister, Kendall Jenner, dressed up as the characters Lizzie and Isabella from The Lizzie McGuire Movie, both played by Hilary Duff.
In the film, Lizzie graduates from middle school and travels to Rome with her classmates. During her stay, Lizzie is mistaken for Italian pop singer Isabella and chaos ensues. Eventually, she ends up performing the song “This Is What Dreams Are Made Of” on stage with the celebrity.
This has become an iconic pop culture moment, with people often sharing their own version of the costumes to TikTok. The sisters posted a video to the social media platform of themselves lipsyncing the track.
