Michael Strahan Responds to National Anthem Backlash

Michael Strahan has responded to the criticism he received after a recent performance of the U.S. national anthem.

The Good Morning America host did not hold his hand over his heart during the national anthem as Fox network honored Veteran’s Day on Sunday.

In a video he posted on Instagram Wednesday morning, he said: “Everyone thought ‘he’s protesting, he’s making a statement’, which is so far from the truth.”
