Michigan Fans Go Viral With Crazy Street Celebrations After Title Win
For the first time in 37 years, the Michigan Wolverines are the undisputed kings of college basketball.
When the season started for Dusty May’s Wolverines, they were expected to be a good team, possibly even a great one, but no one, aside from the team itself, could have imagined the season they would have.
The Wolverines not only opened the season as a strong contender but also blew out some of the best teams in the country night after night, looking like a juggernaut with a new starting five built through the transfer portal.
Once they made the tournament, Michigan started fast and never slowed down, rampaging through March until they got to the Final Four, where they were expected to be tested.
Nope.
The most anticipated game of the year against Arizona turned into a one-sided flop, and as Dusty May made it clear that he wouldn’t leave Michigan for North Carolina, the team charged into the finals against UConn with Nothing holding them back.

Following their win on Monday, the students at home in Ann Arbor spilled into the streets to celebrate a historic victory for the athletics program.
Michigan has established itself as the top school in college sports, with a football national championship a few years ago, a men’s title now, and possibly a men’s hockey championship next weekend at the Frozen Four.
Maybe even sweeter for Michigan fans is the response from their rivals on social media after the game, most notably those from Michigan State.
Who, right now, have no fight left against their brother school.
“Yeah, that’s it for my sports fandom,” posted a Spartans fan on X. “Nothing to root for now, MSU is officially little brother in both sports, and that is likely not changing anytime soon. Goodbye all, it was a good run. Signed, MSURealist.”
Fireworks are ablaze in Ann Arbor as students climb poles, tear down street signs, and seem to be ready to party until the sun comes up.
