Mike Tyson Reveals Greatest NBA Player of All-Time Without Hesitation

The NBA has seen many great players come and go. There are many great players currently in the league. However, there are only two players in the debate for “Greatest of All-Time” at this point.

Of course, those two players are Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

It has been a debate for years now. As James has continued playing at an elite level into his 40’s, that debate has grown much more heated.

Even at this point, the consensus is relatively split. Many will not budge off of Jordan being the best player of all-time, but there are also many who will argue tooth and nail that James deserves the title.

More than likely, this is a debate that will rage for the rest of the NBA’s history. Perhaps another player will come along that can put their name into the debate as well, but for right now it’s a two-man race.

Former boxing superstar Mike Tyson has now weighed in with his thoughts on the matter.

During an appearance on “The Big Podcast” with Shaquille O’Neal, Tyson made his choice crystal clear. He believes that Jordan is the best player to ever play in the NBA.

“I’m a Jordan guy,” Tyson said.

O’Neal then asked him who the best heavyweight boxer was of all-time. Tyson quickly named himself as holding that title.

“Listen, alright,” he said. “I’m not being egotistical. They said they know. If you put up the statistics or something. Ask the world.”

Jordan played in 1,072 career games and made 1,039 starts. He averaged 30.1 points per game to go along with 6.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.3 steals, while shooting 49.7 percent from the floor and 32.7 percent from the three-point line. In addition, he won six NBA championships in six attempts.

As for James, he has played in 1,562 games and made 1,560 starts. He holds career averages of 27 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game and shooting percentages of 50.6 percent overall and 34.9 percent from the three-point line.

James has won four of his 10 NBA Finals appearances.

Regardless of who thinks either player is the “GOAT,” they’re both deserving of the recognition. Both players have put together careers that will never be forgotten. They’re both more than worthy of the best of all time title.

Tyson simply believes that Jordan was better.
