Millie Bobby Brown Gives Advice to ‘Stranger Things’ Fans

Millie Bobby Brown knows how eager fans are to see the final season of Stranger Things. The 21-year-old actress, who plays Eleven (also known as El) in the popular Netflix sci-fi series, urged fans to “be patient” while they wait for Stranger Things Season 5 to hit their screens.

At the premiere of her Netflix film The Electric State on Monday, February 24, the Damsel star encouraged fans to trust the vision of the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer. “Let the Duffers create what they’ve been doing for the last 10 years so beautifully,” she added.

The Duffers recently announced that they were ahead of schedule in the post-production process for the final season, and they expected it to be released some time in 2025. The series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and a large cast of young actors who have grown up alongside the show. They wrapped production on the final season in December 2024. Brown told her fans that the final season would not disappoint them. “It is worth it, I promise,” she said at the Electric State premiere.

Brown recently opened up about the challenges of spending so much of her childhood filming the TV series, which is shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In a cover story for Vanity Fair, she said, “I don’t have many friends because of who I am. I didn’t go to school, so I don’t have the best social skills when it comes to people my own age and friendships.”

Still, the actress said that finishing the series was a very emotional experience for her. “I was on set, and I was like, ‘Well, I have one more day left.’ And I started crying. I don’t actually like to cry at work. I’m a really emotional person, but I try to stay super strong,” she said in the same interview. She noted that her husband, Jake Bongiovi (son of musician Jon Bon Jovi), helped her through it. “Jake was like, ‘It’s good, you have to get it out!’ and I just started welling up,” she explained.
