Millions Advised To Stay Inside In California, Arizona, Nevada
Millions of people across parts of California, Arizona, and Nevada have been advised to stay inside amid record-breaking temperatures on Thursday and into the weekend.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said some areas are expected to see “dangerously hot conditions,” with temperatures expected to soar to 112 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest days are likely to be Friday and Saturday.
The NWS forecasting office in Los Angeles warned that “more heat is on the way through Friday, especially in the valleys and lower mountains.”
Residents in affected areas in all three states have been advised to stay out of the sun, especially during the hottest parts of the day. They have also been urged to drink enough water, limit outdoor activity to the early morning or evening, and never leave pets or children in unattended vehicles as “car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.”

This is a developing story. More to follow.
