Mom Borrows Her Daughter’s Jeep, Then She Looks Up: ‘Jump Scare’
A mom from California had a “literal jump scare” when she borrowed her daughter’s car and found an unusual display overhead.
In a viral TikTok video shared in May under the username @ellieathena8, the poster appears bewildered as she films the roof of the Jeep—which has hundreds of Starbucks’ drink labels plastered across the ceiling.
“Had to borrow daughter’s jeep and had a literal jump scare after driving for 20 minutes”, she writes in the caption.
The poster, Ellie Hedley told Newsweek that her 19-year-old daughter, Sophie, is not the only culprit, explaining that both she and her best friend contributed to the label collection.

“They commuted to school together over an hour for cosmetology school for a year, and this was part of their routine—having a Starbucks and maybe a breakfast item while driving to school,” she said.
While some users in the video speculated that there must have been about $300 worth of drinks, Hedley clarified it was actually more like $800 to $900, and that her daughter has added even more stickers since the clip was posted.
“But as I mentioned it [was] well over a year and multiple people,” she said.

One user, Hotmess22, commented: “I cleaned an entire trash bag full of fast food stuff out of my daughter’s car and opened her trunk to find an entire wardrobe in it!!”
SarahSue said: “When my daughter gets my Jeep, it will be covered in Whataburger receipts, I’m sure!”
Alisha added: “How sad is she gonna be when she realizes that if she adds up those receipts she could’ve put her down payment on a house! I can’t believe what people pay for those drinks.”
