Most Relaxed Man’s Reaction to Learning Wife Is Pregnant Goes Viral
A dad-to-be is going viral for his reaction to finding out his wife is pregnant.
In a clip on TikTok, Bryhar Pelizzari looks as if she is pacing with nerves before revealing the big news to her husband.
The video begins with Pelizzari (@bryharr on TikTok) directing her husband’s attention to a set of baby items—what appears to be a tiny onesie and baby booties—laid out as part of the pregnancy announcement.
Her husband, however, lives up to Pelizzari’s description in the clip as the “most relaxed man to ever walk this earth”. After walking in and noticing the items, he calmly places his hands on his hips and says, “Well, there you go.”
Newsweek reached out to @bryharr via email.
To add to the hilarity, Pelizzari replayed her husband’s response in slow motion twice before the 14-second clip ended.
The contrast between Pelizzari’s anticipation (she captioned the clip, “I was hekkin nervous”) and her husband’s mellow response left TikTok viewers in stitches.
With over 826,000 views, the comments section was flooded with laughter and praise for the husband’s unflappable demeanor.
“I’m laughing at his reaction but also the fact that he makes it sound like you did it on your own,” one user laughed.
“Honestly how I’d react. Like hey great, the thing we were trying to do happened. I’ve already switched to the next logical steps of the process,” wrote another.
Many other users shared their stories of when they told their partners they were expecting. “First time I told mine he said ‘maybe’. Second kid he said, ‘I know, I put it in there,” commented one user.
A small minority mistook the husband’s seemingly underwhelming reaction for a lack of care over the news, but one user clarified it may be a difference in cultures. “All these non-Australians claiming he doesn’t care coz of his reaction,” they wrote. Pelizzari understood where they were coming from and replied with, “Right.”
“Sometimes, you need someone to just be calm. It’s nice not to have someone so reactionary,” wrote another.
Pelizzari agreed “100%” and replied, “I couldn’t deal if he was dramatic.”
According to the comments, the husband also remained calm at the birth of their son, Boaz, where Pelizzari described him as “chill as a cucumber.”
