NFL Legend Doesn’t Hold Back on Browns’ Myles Garrett
Myles Garrett has been a man on a mission this season with the Cleveland Browns. While his team hasn’t done much winning, he has been playing the best season of his NFL career.
Even at 29 years old, Garrett is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, he appears to be speeding up.
Against the Las Vegas Raiders in a big-time Week 12 win, Garrett helped lead the Browns to victory by a final score of 24-10. He put together another masterful pass rushing performance, racking up three more sacks to go along with two forced fumbles, six quarterback hits and five total tackles.

Following another huge performance, Garrett now has recorded 18 sacks on the season. He has also produced 44 total tackles and three forced fumbles. Unfortunately, Cleveland currently holds a 3-8 record.

His performance against the Raiders was noticed by the NFL world. The legendary Lawrence Taylor took some time to take to social media to send a message about Garrett.
“Ton of respect for how this dude goes about his business… he’s been doing it on another level for a long time now… there’s only so many who truly alter gameplans and keep the other side up @ night,” Taylor wrote. “Keep doing your thing Myles!!!!”
Along with his post, Taylor shared a graphic that shows Garrett passing him with six consecutive seasons of 12 or more sacks, while Taylor had five.
During the offseason, Garrett publicly requested a trade away from the Browns. While it seemed that his time in Cleveland had come to an end, the two sides were able to work through their differences. At the end of the day, Garrett decided to stick around and signed a four-year, $160 million contract extension.

While he’s locked up for a long time, trade rumors have continued to swirl surrounding Garrett. It would be an absolute shock to see the Browns decide to move on from the face of their franchise. His performance this season will likely shut down any thought of potentially trading him away.
Hopefully, Cleveland is able to build a contender around Garrett in the near future. His prime is quickly running out, but he’s still arguably the best defensive player in the NFL for now.
