NFL Wide Receiver Has Devastating Reaction To Fred Warner Injury
NFL fans watching the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw All-Pro Linebacker Fred Warner suffer a serious injury.
Warner was trying to make a tackle on Buccaneers running back Rachaad White, and his ankle got stuck under teammate Ji’Ayir Brown. He was on the ground for a few minutes, and he was taken off the field on a cart with an air cast on.
Buccaneers wide receiver Tez Johnson was right by the play when it happened, and he along with offensive lineman Tristan Wirfs were instantly trying to get the attention of trainers. Johnson motioned for the trainers, and then put his head in his hands.
Warning: the video below shows a gruesome injury.
To see Johnson react like that shows how serious this could be. Within a second of the play being done, he is already screaming to let it be known that Warner needed help.

The injury to Warner is just another example of the team having to deal with crushing injuries every season. The 49ers were already missing guys like Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk and Nick Bosa just to name a few, and now lost their defensive leader for potentially a long time.
Warner is not only one of the best players in the NFL, but he is also one of the most respected players as well. He has been named to the Pro Bowl four times in his career, as well as a First-team All-Pro four times, including the last three seasons.
No team has had to deal with more injuries over the last few years as the 49ers, but also no team does a better job of adjusting on the fly. The fact the 49ers are currently leading the NFC West with their backup quarterback Mac Jones starting his fourth game of the season already shows what this team is able to overcome.
Once again for the 49ers, they are going to have to figure out how to overcome a brutal injury. However, as coach Kyle Shanahan and the team has shown throughout the years, they are going to do whatever is needed and play whoever is needed to keep things going in the right direction.
