Ohio State Trolls Michigan With Hilarious Halftime Band Routine
The Ohio State Buckeyes collected their eighth win of the year to improve to 8-1. On Saturday, they defeated their Big 10 counterparts, the Purdue Boilermakers, 45-0, in a relatively easy win.
The Buckeyes dominated this contest as they have all season long. Ohio State entered the week as the No. 3 team in the nation, and they will likely remain there for the weeks to come. They will be in a great position to get a first-round bye in the 2025 College Football Playoff.
Although their goal is to bring up another national championship to Columbus, another one of their goals, and possibly their biggest outside of a champion, is to beat their biggest and most hated rival, the Michigan Wolverines.
The Ohio State and Michigan rivalry is the biggest and best in college football and arguably in all sports. It just means more to the people in the mid-West, and that was no more evidence than the shot the Ohio State band took at the Wolverines during their game on Saturday.
Although Ohio State wasn’t playing Michigan, they still decided to troll their rivals in the funniest way possible.
In the video, you can see the band form a bear, and that bear is using the restroom on the Michigan banner.
This rivalry runs deep, and although their match against one another isn’t until three weeks from now, it is clear that this rivalry is a 365-day deal.
Not only does this rivalry run deep, but the game always means something. These programs compete for a national championship more times than not, and the result of this game makes or breaks their season.
The programs first met in 1897, and the game has been played at the end of the regular season since 1935. For many years, the game aired on ABC, usually in the 12 midday Eastern time slot. For many years, ESPN College GameDay originated that weekend from the game site, and it is often the most viewed college football game of the regular season.
This year will be their 120th meeting, and Michigan currently leads the all-time series 61-51-6. However, Ohio State has dominated the last decade with a 6-3 record. Michigan has won the last three matchups and is in dominant fashion with its run game and physical play.
This year, Ohio State will remain a top-four team, barring anything catastrophic, and Michigan will be unranked (most likely) for the first time in this matchup since 2017.
Ohio State will host Michigan on Nov. 30.
