Former Florida quarterback DJ Lagway is one of the biggest names left in the transfer portal, and after committing to the Baylor Bears, he is seemingly open to taking visits and exploring different landing spots.
Lagway, a Texas native, has deep ties to Baylor, as his father played on the football team, and the school recruited the quarterback throughout the process, ultimately losing out to Florida.

However, after two years in Florida marked by inconsistencies, Lagway is transferring following the dismissal of former coach Billy Napier.
Lagway met with new coach Jon Sumrall, but the meeting reportedly did not go well, leading both parties to move on.
Florida has since signed Georgia Tech quarterback Aaron Philo, and Lagway has since visited Florida State, Virginia, and Baylor.

On Thursday, Lagway reportedly committed to Baylor, a school that he wanted to be linked to from the outset of the transfer portal.
However, ESPN’s Pete Thamel emerged with a surprising update on Friday.
“Former Florida quarterback DJ Lagway is planning to continue to take visits before officially committing. He had a positive visit to Baylor earlier this week. One program that has consistently expressed interest is Ole Miss,” Thamel wrote.
“Lagway has long intended to take a full repertory of visits before making his decision. Others could soon be lined up.”
Why is Ole Miss in the picture?
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss lost out on his waiver application for a sixth season, resulting in the Rebels needing a quarterback. The team just reached the College Football Playoff semifinals, and if Lagway wants to be on a competitive roster, there are few better than Ole Miss.
New head coach Pete Golding has shown the ability to recruit talent at a high level, and while there will be a new offensive staff, Lagway could pick up where Chambliss left off.
Other than Ole Miss, Miami, and Oregon, other teams could also need a quarterback, depending on certain factors. All three of these teams are farther along than Baylor, potentially tempting the soon-to-be junior.
