Parents Hear Voice From 8-Month-Old’s Cot, Can’t Cope With What They Find
Khloi Jayne and her partner, Michael Willans, were startled in the early hours one morning after hearing a voice coming from their baby’s cot.
Thankfully, it was more innocent than it sounded, and Khloi Jayne posted the aftermath of what she found on TikTok. The viral video shows eight-month-old Arlo Anfield covered in chocolate—the culprit, it turned out, was his older sister.
The parents woke up at 5:30 a.m. to hear two-year-old Amora-Mae asking her little brother, “is it nice?”
“I jumped up to see what was going on and he was covered in chocolate. We instantly started laughing because of how happy he was,” Khloi Jayne told Newsweek.
The mom started recording as she loves to document “every little thing” her children do so they will have plenty of footage to watch when they’re older, she added.
Although they found Arlo Anfield’s state hilarious, the couple had to explain to their two-year-old that she can’t give her brother food without her mom or dad there.
“Then we wiped him down and took the chocolate off him. He wasn’t very happy until he was put in the bath and then he was all smiley again,” the mom said.
The TikTok video, which has exceeded a million views, was captioned: “Welcome to motherhood” by Khloi Jayne, who goes by @khloijayne20 on the platform.
The clip also garnered hundreds of comments from other social media users, some of whom were parents who shared their experiences with one of their children taking charge of their youngest sibling.
One mom shared that her three-year-old daughter is “obsessed” with her four-month-old baby brother. When the family were eating breakfast, the mom turned away for a few moments and “boom she had given him a small piece of pancake and the baby brother was even smiling.”
She also added how fast she had to react to get the food out of her baby’s mouth. Khloi Jayne replied in the comments: “It’s like you gain super speed isn’t it.”
Another commented that Arlo Anfield looked like Bruce from “Matilda” in the scene where he was forced to eat chocolate cake by Miss Trunchbull.
“He’s had the best morning ever. Chocolate breakfast,” another user wrote.
Khloi Jayne told Newsweek that she has just started baby-led weaning with Arlo Anfield. “He’s loving it, all thanks to his older sister feeding him chocolate,” she added.
