From controversies over referee favoritism to the Chiefs dying fountains a horrifying blood red, this trip to the Super Bowl has been nothing short of dramatic. Even family got involved, as it appeared that Patrick Mahomes’ father got in on taking a shot at the Bills for losing to his son’s team.
A post on X was published by Patrick Mahomes Sr., which took a major shot at the Bills and the area they are from.
Today is a great day to not be from Buffalo…

The X post reads, “Today is a great day to not be from Buffalo…”
The post got a staggering 10 million views, making an instant viral diss. However, the post appears to have been sent without the permission of the elder Mahomes.

A report from the New York Post indicates that Mahomes Sr. revealed that his X account was hacked, and the post was sent without his knowledge. He cleared the air about the post on his Instagram page.
“Haven’t been on Twitter/X in years,” Mahomes Sr. said on Instagram. “My account was hacked and I do not have access to it. Pls disregard any tweets from @pmahomes.”
An official statement was also released that states, “Attention: Patrick Mahomes Sr.’s X account has been compromised. The Mahomes family holds the utmost respect for the Buffalo Bills organization and the #BillsMafia fan base. We are actively working to resolve this issue. Thank you for your understanding.”
The Post also reveals that the X account for Mahomes Sr. has been active since June 2024, and six posts were made. Those posts were also done in a way that would not signify the account had been hacked.
Whatever the case may be, Mahomes Sr. surely caused quite a stir with his mega rival X post. Having to throw out an official statement is also something that is done when situations get out of hand.
For now, the Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. Though there is no guarantee that the Chiefs will win the first-ever third consecutive Super Bowl, Mahomes Sr. might want to make sure his social accounts are in working order.
