Paul Goldschmidt Speaks on Aaron Judge Home Run: ‘Best I’ve Ever Seen’
Aaron Judge hit a home run Tuesday night that could very well change the outcome of the American League Division Series and keep his team’s playoff run alive.
For New York Yankees fans, it was like any other Tuesday watching Judge crush a home run to swing the game in favor of the Bronx Bombers. For his teammates, it was like watching history happen right in front of them.

“The best swing I’ve ever seen, definitely in person, maybe all time,” Paul Goldschmidt told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. “It was obviously a big homer to tie the game. I think I was almost more in shock that he hit that pitch and kept it fair and hit the home run.”
“Those pitches don’t get hit, let alone that high off the foul pole, staying straight for that long,” Giancarlo Stanton told Rosenthal.
The Yankees used Judge’s home run to propel them to victory as they went on to score three more runs and force a Game 4 Wednesday night after trailing 6-1 to the Toronto Blue Jays very early in Game 3.
With the Blue Jays using a bullpen game Thursday night, the Yankees are looking to keep their bats going strong against a tired group of relievers. New York knew its players were going to need to hit home runs if it wanted any chance of advancing to the ALCS. The Yankees still need two wins to get their, of course, but it looks much more manageable now after the face of the franchise put the team on his back once again.
