The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona on Tuesday evening.
It remains unknown at this time if there were any casualties.

Officials have confirmed there are no active threats at the airport. Detectives are on-site conducting an initial review to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Sky Harbor’s operations have not been disrupted and flights continue to run on schedule.
Gabriella Uloa, who was at the airport dropping off family members for a flight, said she witnessed a “badly injured” person being taken away by an ambulance, per a 12News report.

“It’s frightening because it’s the holidays, of course, everyone wants to get home, they want to get home to their families, listening to kids cry, it’s frightening,” Uloa said.
Airport officials reported that police responded to a shooting in Terminal 4 at 9:41 p.m., leading to its temporary closure, according to 12News.
According to FOX 10 Phoenix, travelers were forced to wait in Terminal 4’s pickup and drop-off area, which prevented them from entering the building.
Terminal 4 serves as the primary hub at the airport for both Southwest Airlines and American Airlines.

Sky Harbor Airport said in a statement: “At about 9:41 p.m., police responded to reports of gunshots fired in Terminal 4. The Terminal 4 A security checkpoint was temporarily closed and PHX Sky Train operations were paused at Terminal 4 as a precaution. The incident has been resolved and operations are returning to normal.”
