A small aircraft carrying five people crashed in Lancaster County, Pa., on Sunday afternoon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The aircraft, a Beechcraft Bonanza, crashed around 3 p.m.
The F.A.A. and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
Officials did not immediately share information about those on board or what happened leading up to the crash.
Footage from local news station WGAL showed multiple burned vehicles in a parking lot where the crash happened, with the tail of the aircraft sticking up.
Videos shared on social media showed the plane and nearby vehicles engulfed in flames, with smoke billowing from the fire.
