‘Pokémon GO’ Fest 2026 Dates: New Locations and Details


“Pokémon GO” Fest 2026 is headed to Chicago, Tokyo and Copenhagen.

Announced on the mobile game’s official website, these three cities will each host their own huge, in-person event where “Pokémon GO” trainers from across the world meet up to catch, trade, and battle.

“Next summer, get ready to embark on a journey of a lifetime when Pokémon GO Fest returns for 2026,” the announcement reads. “The best way to experience Pokémon GO Fest is in person! We invite Trainers to join us at three in the following cities and dates.”

2026 marks ten years of “Pokémon GO” since it debuted in 2016. With “Pokémon GO” Fests attracting hundreds of thousands of people, expectations are huge. Developer Niantic has revealed the first details, including the dates and cities.

Here are the three locations for “Pokémon GO” Fest 2026, each taking place over four days.

GO Fest: Tokyo – Bay Area

Event Dates: Friday, May 29 – Monday, June 1, 2026
Ticketed Citywide Gameplay Begins: Monday, May 25, 2026

GO Fest: Chicago – Grant Park

Event Dates: Friday, June 5 – Sunday, June 7, 2026
Ticketed Citywide Gameplay Begins: Thursday, June 4, 2026

GO Fest: Copenhagen – Fælledparken

Event Dates: Friday, June 12 – Sunday, June 14, 2026
Ticketed Citywide Gameplay Begins: Thursday, June 11, 2026

‘Pokémon GO’ Fest 2026 Dates

“Pokémon GO” Fest 2026 will take place between Friday, 29th May, 2026 and Sunday 14th June, 2026. This is a span of three weeks containing unique citywide gameplay in each of the three locations.

What is ‘Pokémon GO’ Fest?

Starting in Chicago in 2017, “Pokémon GO” Fest is a real-world event in which players meet at a designated location to celebrate the game. Each Fest introduces new research quests, raids, increased shiny Pokémon spawns, event-specific Pokémon, regional Pokémon, and more.

The location for “Pokémon GO” Fest 2026: Global has not yet been revealed. Expect more information in early 2026, with Niantic saying, “We look forward to sharing more with you in March and throughout the spring.”
