Prince George’s Reaction to William Soccer Celebration Goes Viral

Prince William’s enthusiastic soccer celebration with Prince George went viral on social media as the pair experienced joy at their favorite team taking the lead followed by a heart breaking final score.

The Prince of Wales, 42, took his oldest child to see Aston Villa play Paris St-Germain in the quarter-final of the prestigious Champions League at the Parc des Princes stadium, in the French capital on Wednesday night.

And father and son were handed a moment of ecstasy when underdogs Villa went a goal up in the first half.

A clip of their celebration went viral on X after showing Prince William hug his son and give him an emphatic kiss on the forehead.

It was viewed 120k times and liked 4.4k times after being posted with the message: “A hug from Prince William for Prince George as they celebrate Aston Villa’s goal in Paris this evening.”

Heartbreakingly for the royals, Aston Villa then let in a goal within minutes followed by another two over the rest of the game to lose 3-1.

This was, however, only this first leg of the quarter final and they will have another chance in the second leg, played at Aston Villa’s home stadium, in England.

Another fan wrote: “Prince William The Prince of Wales and Prince George celebrating Aston Villa scoring at the Parc des Princes against PSG.”

Prince William described some of his reasons for taking Prince George to the match, in France, during a TV interview with TNT Sports.

Asked if it was going to be a “lads tour” for William and his friends, the prince replied: “Well, I’ve got my son here as well. So I’m on best behavior as well but I thought its been 43 years since anything like this has happened in my generation as a Villa fan and I want George to experience a night out away from home in a big European competition.”

When asked whether he is encouraging to George to follow in his footsteps and support Aston Villa, he replied: “I’m generally very open to whoever they support. I’m a bit biased but also they come to games with Villa, they’re going to probably support Villa.”
