Princess Kate’s Extraordinary ‘Aura’ Goes Viral
Princess Kate’s dramatic entrance to a military barracks for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade went viral on TikTok after soldiers rose to their feet out of respect.
The Princess of Wales has been undertaking more royal engagements in 2025 having been largely out of the public eye in 2024.
Most recently, she visited Wellington Barracks on March 17 for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Why It Matters
A clip of the moment was viewed 701k times and liked 64k times after it was posted with the message: “She’s just 100% aura.”
What to Know
Kate was acting in her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards during the visit, a key honorary military title for the princess.
In June, she had been slated to take the “Colonel’s Review” a rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, King Charles III’s birthday parade.
However, she had to pull out for health reasons as she was undergoing chemotherapy at the time.
At the time, she wrote to the Irish Guards to apologize: “I wanted to write to you to let you know how proud I am of the entire regiment ahead of the colonel’s review and trooping the colour.
“I appreciate everyone trooping the colour this year has been practising for months, and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate.”
During the moment seen in the TikTok video, she was being escorted by Major General Sir Chris Ghika, Regimental Lieutenant Colonel of the Irish Guards.
Kate was seen drinking a half pint of Guinness and bought a round of drinks by putting money behind the bar to mark the 125th anniversary of the Irish Guards, Sky News reported.
Chatting to some of the soldiers, Kate said: “Being able to manage that work-life balance—it’s tough.”
It is a particularly relevant comment because Kate said during her chemotherapy treatment she wanted to focus more on her own work-life balance.
What People Are Saying
One fan replied to the video: “Literally the most beautiful woman in the world.”
Another wrote, “aura 100% a real Queen” while a third wrote: “Amazing to see her back and looking so well. We are very lucky to have her as our future queen.”
