Amid the Baltimore Ravens’ losing slump, where the team was 1-3, there was a report that the team had all their locker room table games removed. This included a ping pong table, basketball hoop, and more. Though it was initially believed it was done by head coach John Harbaugh, Lamar Jackson has now been fingered as the one who called for the change.

The original report was released by Baltimore Sun reporters, and Sam Cohn posted about the table games on his X page.
Though everyone assumed the major change was enacted by John Harbaugh and the coaching staff, it appears the architect behind banning the games in the locker room was done by Jackson.
During an episode of Marlon Humphrey’s podcast, he let it slip that Jackson was the one who banned the games.
“Top two player, best on our team,” Humphrey initially said about who was responsible for getting rid of the games. He then bluntly states that it was Lamar Jackson.
Humphrey stated that instead of the locker room being “fun,” it became a “talk to your locker mate” vibe. This means that things were dire in Baltimore, and the team needed to come together to figure out why they were losing games.

Oddly enough, the Ravens would go on to lose two more games amid the locker room game drama. The team finally rebounded in Week 8, taking down the Chicago Bears to move to 2-5 on the season.
The good news is Jackson is gearing up to make his return after missing multiple games to a hamstring injury he suffered in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. That loss was what prompted the major locker room change.
The Ravens are now 2-5, and their win against the Bears may propel them to turn things around. That can especially be true with Jackson returning to the field.
Despite the hopes of a third win this season, they are set to take on the Miami Dolphins on “Thursday Night Football.” Miami has been in the same situation, dropping multiple games in a row. However, they dominated the Atlanta Falcons to go to 2-6, and may ride that confidence into a gutsy showdown with the Ravens.
Baltimore can turn things around, but they have to essentially win out from now on.
