Realtor Walks Across ‘Patio’ in Backyard—Then Realizes What It Really Is %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%% Realtor walks across “patio” in backyard—then realizes what it really is

A New York realtor has gone viral after a hilarious mix-up that left social media users in stitches—where she appeared to literally “walk across water” while greeting her clients.

In a TikTok video that has now racked up more than 7.8 million views, real estate agent Danielle Eyubeh, 30, was confidently striding toward her clients while on the phone, completely unaware that what looked like a solid patio was in fact a pool cover.

The caption on the clip read: “When your realtor will literally walk across water for you”, as Eyubeh’s foot landed on the covered pool, sinking slightly but miraculously staying dry.

“A Little Ditsy Moment”

“I was so focused on showing the home and answering a prior question that my client had,” Eyubeh told Newsweek, explaining she had completely forgotten about the pool. “That’s why I ran back inside to grab my laptop to get the information, and while so eager and in the moment, I honestly forgot about the pool. I got to the property just on time and was unable to do a full walkthrough before my client came.”

Eyubeh explained that the home was advertised online with the pool uncovered, which added to the confusion.

“Online, the house is marketed with the pool open, without the pool cover. So it was just a little ‘ditsy’ moment. I was expecting an open pool, and honestly thought it was a patio or something,” she laughed.

Eyubeh, who began her real estate career in August 2020, said she uses her platform to show the authentic, human side of working in real estate.

“I teach people and give them tips on how to get their real estate license and break into real estate. I like to show the real and relatable side of the business. Things rarely go perfectly—and that’s okay. That’s what my brand and platform are all about. I encourage people to be unapologetically you,” she said.

Homes with a pool are highly sought-after, with this premium feature often attracting a higher for sale price.

Research from Realtor.com noted a surge in demand for houses with a pool post COVID-19, reflecting a change in lifestyle, and preferences.

Dubbed the “pool premium,” the website said: “With travel restrictions and a heightened focus on home-centric living, amenities like swimming pools became highly coveted… Homes featuring a pool commanded significantly higher asking prices than their pool-less counterparts.”

This saw prices for properties with pools peak in January 2022, when homes with this feature boasted a “61% price premium”.

Eventually demand waned, and as of April 2025, homes with a pool now command a 54% “price premium”, Realtor.com said.

Internet Reacts

The clip quickly went viral and in the comments people shared their reactions.

“So the pool cover can withstand heels, great feature,” said one commenter.

While another wrote: “Nah she said Jesus not the only one that can walk on water.”

Eyubeh was not expecting the video to go viral, but she was delighted that viewers got a laugh out of the moment.

“I didn’t expect it to go viral, but I love that people found it funny and genuine,” she said.

This is not the first time a realtor has left the internet in stitches. In 2023 a realtor left the internet laughing when she had an unexpected reaction to seeing a pair of hairless cats for the first time.
