Ric Flair Fires Back After John Cena’s Latest WWE Dig

Ric Flair has made it perfectly clear that if John Cena wants to become a World Champion again in WWE, then he will have to go through him. In fact, Flair will be in town for WrestleMania 41.

Cena’s victory at the Men’s Elimination Chamber secured him a highly anticipated Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. A surprising heel turn marked the event’s ending, as Cena aligned himself with The Rock.

With both Cena and Flair holding the record for 16 world title wins, the upcoming WrestleMania match has ignited discussions about Cena’s potential to break this long-standing record. Cena delivered a scathing promo during a recent WWE Raw appearance.

The shift in Cena’s character has added a significant layer of intrigue to the WrestleMania 41 main event. His declaration to “ruin wrestling” has not only heightened the tension between him and Cody Rhodes.

It also injected a sense of unpredictability into the storyline. The wrestling world now eagerly awaits to see how this new, aggressive Cena will impact the championship match and the overall landscape of WWE.

“I am going to ruin wrestling,” Cena said. “I am going to ruin wrestling for every fan, every wrestler, for everyone. At WrestleMania, I make history by winning a 17th championship, and finally force you forget the name of the fun machine, jet-flying, ‘woo’, Ric Flair. You will forever say the name John Cena.”

In a TMZ interview, Dean Muhtadi questioned Flair about John Cena’s remarks. This led to the Hall of Famer stating his legacy is indelible and cannot be erased.

“I’m just glad I’m alive after the life I’ve led to even hear it. But I’ve got news for John, they’ve been trying to get rid of the ‘Woo’ for 50 years. The ‘Woo’ ain’t going away, neither is Ric Flair, and the odds of him winning the 17th World Title are astronomical.”

“I love it. I think it’s the coolest thing they could have done. I think it’s great. As a matter of fact, I was hoping he would win the Royal Rumble. That was a great finish there too, so I’m excited for him.”
