Russell Wilson to New York Giants Could Mean Aaron Rodgers is Heading to Pittsburgh Steelers
On Tuesday, the New York Giants officially signed veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, putting a nail in the coffin of Aaron Rodgers joining the team. The Giants quarterback room now consists of Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Tommy DeVito.

The roster is now in much better shape with the quarterback room filling up, and they could even add a rookie to the mix in the NFL draft if they want to. In the short-term the Giants are set at quarterback, making signing Aaron Rodgers out of the question.

With the Vikings pulling out of the running as well, the last remaining suitor for Rodgers is the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose current starting quarterback is Mason Rudolph.
With Wilson signing, it seems like the NFL quarterback picture is starting to become clearer. The Giants signed two players, the Steelers have signed one and are waiting on one, the Vikings are sticking with their draft pick from last year, and the Titans and Browns are drafting the top two quarterbacks.

The Steelers now sit in prime position to sign the 41-year-old veteran, which would be a solid addition to an offense that traded for D.K. Metcalf this offseason.
The team could still use some help in the NFL draft, with some offensive weapons potentially being added with pick 21.
In terms of the AFC North picture, the division could be a tough battle, especially if the Browns draft Shedeur Sanders second overall and he thrives right away.
The Ravens are still the same old Ravens with Lamar Jackson at the helm, while the Bengals have done a good job of retaining their star players.
That makes adding Rodgers to the division fold interesting, as any of the teams have a legitimate shot of making the playoffs if things go well, except probably the Browns.
The defense is already strong, so it will be interesting to see how much, if at all, Rodgers elevates the offense.
The one downside to the quarterback picture getting clearer for the Steelers is Rodgers can now wait to sign as long as he wants, holding the team hostage.
The team has shown their cards to being desperate, so it is unlikely they would pull out of a deal if Rodgers made them unhappy.
While the Russell Wilson news is huge for Giants fans, it has even bigger implications around the league, both with remaining free agents and in the NFL draft. It seems like now every team has a good idea of what their options are now that there are fewer of them.
