Russia Responds To Ukraine-US Ceasefire Agreement

The Kremlin has said it does not want to get ahead of itself after Ukraine announced it was ready to accept an immediate 30-day ceasefire with Russia.
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesman, said Moscow expects to be briefed in the coming days about negotiations held between Ukraine and the U.S. in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
“Look, you are getting a little ahead of yourself, we don’t want to do that,” Peskov said on Wednesday, according to the Russian news outlet RIA Novosti.
“Yesterday, when talking to the press, both Rubio and Waltz said that they would pass on to us detailed information about the essence of the conversations that took place in Jeddah through various diplomatic channels. First, we need to get that information.”
Ukraine said on Tuesday it was ready to support a U.S. ceasefire proposal, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced he would now present the offer to Moscow.
