Ryan Seacrest Shows Off Muscles on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Set

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Ryan Seacrest has been the host of Wheel of Fortune for the past few months and he’s seemingly getting comfortable with the position — maybe a little too comfortable.

The 50-year-old game show host shared a couple of photos and a video on Instagram on Wednesday, March 12, in which he was wearing a sleeveless white shirt, showing off his muscles alongside co-host Vanna White. The star was also notably sporting a new “tattoo” on his arm. Seacrest coupled the post with a caption that read, “New ink? Next steps: a motorcycle and a leather jacket.”

The American Idol host also jokingly explained that he was inspired to get a tattoo after White, 68, revealed in the video clip that she had gotten a tattoo — a heart on her wrist — with her daughter.

“Vanna showed off her tattoo earlier this week, and we’re in this together,” the host told viewers before he admitted, “So, I thought, ‘Well, I’m gonna do it too.'” Seacrest then removed his jacket and showed Vanna his new ink.

“It’s barbed wire,” he told his co-host before revealing, “It’s fake. It’ll be off tomorrow. See you then!”

Fans of the program made their opinions about his looks and ability to host Wheel known in the comment section of the post.

“I know you like your food. I am amazed you are in great shape. You must be working out a lot. With all your work, how do you have the time?” asked one fan, who admired the host’s physique.

A second fan mentioned the new host’s contributions to the show and wrote, “Love that you have brought so much excitement to this game show. I never want to miss an episode now. Even Vanna is fun to watch, and I love that she can interact during the show. Yay y’all .”

A third surprised fan confessed, “D**n, I didn’t know bro was shredded.”

A fourth fan, who presumably doesn’t care for Seacrest’s performance on the game show, referenced former host Pat Sajak and wrote, “We miss Pat.”

Seacrest took over for Sajak, 78, after he stepped down as host of Wheel in 2024 after 41-years. Fans of the beloved game show can catch Seacrest alongside White weeknights on ABC.
