“Scream 7” scored prime commercial real estate with its suspenseful first trailer, otherwise known as the ‘Big Game Spot,’ officially released Monday, February 2nd, and the stakes seem higher than ever.
Not least because, in a first for the horror movie franchise, ‘”Scream 7″ will be released in both IMAX and 4DX, making the scares larger than life.
In addition, original last girl Neve Campbell returns in the starring role – her sixth “Scream” film overall since headlining the 1996 first – and now has a daughter to protect from a mysterious masked killer.
‘Scream 7’ Plot
The story centers on Sidney Prescott protecting her daughter as a new Ghostface emerges.
Paramount’s official synopsis for “Scream 7” reads, “When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”
What Happened in ‘Scream 6’?
In “Scream 6,” three Ghostfaces spread fear across New York City, targeting Sam and Tara Carpenter, but their reign is ended thanks to Sam, Tara, Chad, Mindy and Kirby, who all survive the traumatic events.

“Scream 7” is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on February 27th, 2026.
