Shake Shake Unveils 2025 Holiday Shakes

Three new seasonal shakes have been added by U.S. fast food chain Shake Shack—known for its burgers, fries, and milkshakes—to celebrate the impending holiday season.

Why It Matters

Shake Shack is joining other fast food outlets, like Dunkin’, and coffee chains, like Starbucks, that are bringing out highly anticipated new and returning festive menu options for customers to enjoy for a limited time during the holiday season.

What To Know

Shake Shack has announced it’s bringing out the following three festive flavors for the holidays:

Peppermint Bark Chocolate Shake: Shake Shack is calling this new flavor “the center” of its holiday line-up. It’s inspired by Dubai Chocolate—a chocolate sensation that went viral in 2024 thanks to influencers on social media—which is pistachio cream, tahini (sesame paste), and kadayif (shredded filo pastry), encased in milk chocolate. The Peppermint Bark Chocolate Shake is Shake Shack’s second-ever “crackable shake” and blends chocolate frozen custard with mint chocolate fudge, encased in a crackable white chocolate peppermint bark shell, topped with whipped cream and peppermint candy pieces.

Christmas Cookie Shake: This is a returning fan-favorite that’s made with sugar cookie frozen custard, whipped cream, and festive holiday sprinkles.

Sticky Toffee Pudding Shake: This shake is inspired by a U.K. favorite and combines sticky toffee pudding cake with vanilla frozen custard and caramelized brown sugar, finished with whipped cream and sticky toffee sauce—a nod to the classic dessert, that’s especially popular in the U.K.

All three shakes are now available at Shake Shack locations nationwide, of which there are 371. The menu is available throughout the holiday season, but Shake Shack hasn’t confirmed when it will discontinue the festive additions.

What People Are Saying

According to reporting by USA Today, at a preview event in Manhattan, Shake Shack Senior Manager of Culinary Innovation Nick Wuest, said he is: “Excited about this idea of more interactive shakes and desserts, specifically that cracked shell.”

He also said the Christmas Cookie Shake was: “Absolutely off-limits for messing with, changing, or taking off the menu,” that the “Sticky Toffee Pudding Shake is a classical interpretation of the dessert,” and that “peppermint bark is iconic during the holiday.”

What Happens Next

Shake Shack’s holiday shakes will remain available at locations nationwide for a limited time, and, according to Wuest, it might even develop a duo to go with the Christmas Cookie Shake.
