Slovakia Leader Shot
Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot during a visit to the central town of Handlova on Wednesday, local media reported, with the assailant reportedly arrested.
A journalist for the Denníka N newspaper reported hearing several shots and seeing the prime minister being carried into a car by security guards and driven away to hospital.
Fico was shot while greeting locals outside the town’s House of Culture. His condition is as yet unknown.
