South Carolina’s Nyck Harbor Goes Viral With Wild Touchdown Highlight
The South Carolina Gamecocks showed up ready to play against No. 3 Texas A&M. The first half put the College Football Playoff contender on severe upset alert, thanks to strong play from quarterback LaNorris Sellers. That included a huge touchdown pass before halftime that had many fans talking about the crazy aftermath.
With South Carolina already leading 20-3, the Aggies nearly cut the deficit in half. However, a bad pass led to an interception, giving the Gamecocks another chance to score before halftime, and they did exactly that, building a significant lead.

A highlight play featured Sellers delivering a massive throw to his receiver, Nyck Harbor, who then raced down the field, scoring an incredible 84-yard touchdown against the nation’s No. 3 team on their home field.

That touchdown itself went viral for how impressive it was against the Aggies and for how dominant the Gamecocks looked in the first half. It further extended their lead before halftime and raised serious doubts about A&M’s ability to overcome such a large deficit.
Sellers was 9-for-19 on his passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, including the incredible throw to Harbor.
However, the highlight play featured what appeared to be a bizarre post-touchdown skirmish. After that 84-yard score, Harbor kept running all the way towards the tunnel and disappeared into it with several teammates, with the ESPN commentators noting they saw him limping and holding his leg.
A brief moment later, Harbor returned from the tunnel, walking out to the field with a small group of teammates. An officer in uniform working at A&M’s home game then walked towards the players as they were exiting the tunnel and bumped into them, including Harbor.
It’s unclear what anyone said in the moment, but the officer then turned and appeared to be yelling and pointing at Harbor, who kept walking and returned to the sidelines with his teammates. An X video from Jordan Schultz showed the incident as it unfolded.
The commentators didn’t say anything about the crazy touchdown aftermath on ESPN, but it caught plenty of attention on X among other social media, with fans wondering what happened.
“What is up with this cop?? He ran into Nyck Harbor on purpose,” an X commenter asked.
“what in the world was this officer thinking here trying to bump through Nyck Harbor and another South Carolina player before scolding them?” another fan asked on X.
“Texas A&M cop was NOT happy with that 80-yard NyckHarbor TD,” another X commenter posted.
There didn’t appear to be any other mention in the game after that strange tunnel occurrence, and Harbor returned to play for his team. As of this writing, South Carolina was leading 30-10 after Texas A&M scored a touchdown to open the second half.
