Taylor Swift Is ‘Back in the Office’ With a Special Friend
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
The end of an era soon begins.
On Friday, October 18, pop icon Taylor Swift is set to kick off the final leg of her Eras Tour, and while she still has about two months left, Swift has returned to the office in style.
The “Fortnight” hitmaker took to her Instagram page, sharing a video of herself at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, where the tour will resume later in the evening. Swift wore a vibrant yellow sweater, blue jeans, and mysterious sunglasses upon her return. Ever the relatable woman, Swift brought a special friend with her — her cat, Olivia Benson.
Olivia Benson is one of three of Swift’s cats — along with Meredith Gray and Benjamin Button — all of whom are named after fictional characters from film and television. Swift proudly claimed the title of “childless cat lady” back in September, upon endorsing U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
The Eras Tour first kicked off in March 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona, and has been Swift’s primary focus since. Still, she’s made time for other projects throughout the tour’s run. Last year, she released two re-recorded albums in her Taylor’s Version series — 2010’s Speak Now and 2014’s 1989. This past April, she released her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, which contained all new material recorded over the course of two years.
Since taking a hiatus that began in August, Swift has been spending much quality time with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. In the days leading up to the Eras Tour‘s resume, she was seen spending time with him in New York City, notably cozying up at a Yankees game.
Fans are devastated to see the Eras Tour come to an end, however, they will be able to relive it soon. On Friday, November 29, Swift will release The Eras Tour Book containing 500 images from the concerts and from behind-the-scenes rehearsals. She will also drop physical editions of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. Both of these will be available at Target stores.
The Eras Tour will wrap Sunday, December 8 in Vancouver, Canada.
