Ted Cruz Hits Out at Tucker Carlson After Interview Moment Goes Viral
🎙️ Voice is AI-generated. Inconsistencies may occur.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz has hit out at Tucker Carlson and accused him of trying to play a “silly game” after an interview segment went viral on X, racking up over 14 million views.
In the interview on his show, which is due to be released in full on Wednesday, Carlson asked “how could you not know that” after Cruz admitted he did not know what Iran’s population is.
Carlson later said “you don’t know anything about Iran” after asking Cruz to describe the country’s ethnic makeup.
Cruz hit back on X commenting: “Did a long interview w/ Tucker. He released a snippet playing a “gotcha” on the population of Iran. I declined to play that silly game.
“WATCH the full 2-hr interview, where Tucker ATTACKS Trump, attacks the ‘AIPAC lobby,’ & falsely claims Iran is NOT trying to assassinate Trump.”
Newsweek contacted Cruz and Carlson for comment via email on Wednesday outside of regular office hours
