The Masters Betting Odds, Picks: Best Bets, Longshots to Watch at Augusta

Whether you’re a diehard golf fan or a casual who only watches the sport a few times a year, The Masters is worth checking out this weekend.

Below, we will lay out the odds on the betting favorites to take home the iconic Green Jacket this year, then highlight a few best bets and intriguing longshots to watch to consider.

The five most recent Masters winners were Dustin Johnson in 2020, Hideki Matsuyama in 2021, Scottie Scheffler in 2022 (and also 2024) and Jon Rahm in 2023.

With Davis Riley and Patton Kizzire set to tee off at 7:40 a.m. on Thursday morning, let’s get right into it.

2025 Masters Odds: Betting Favorites

Below are the top 20 betting favorites’ odds to win this tournament. While a total of 95 players are teeing off on Thursday, we’re going to focus on those with the shortest odds, as just about everyone outside the top five is a massive longshot at 20-to-1 or longer.

As you can see below, futures prices entering a tournament like this vary tremendously. That makes line-shopping for The Masters as important as it is for any event you can bet on.

With that in mind, below are the current betting odds to win The Masters at DraftKings, FanDuel and bet365

Best Masters Bets: Scheffler or McIlroy?

This tournament is notoriously difficult to predict, which is a big reason it has so much appeal. Scheffler has won it two of the last three years, which makes him tempting at first glance, but remember, no player has won The Masters in back-to-back years since Tiger Woods did it back in 2001 and 2002.

McIlroy is off to a great start to the 2025 season, with two PGA Tour wins, but he feels like a risky bet given that he was not won a major since the 2014 PGA Championship.

Jon Rahm won the Green Jacket in 2023, which makes him another intriguing option, especially at 15-to-1 odds (bet365).

Best Bet to Win Masters: Collin Morikawa

Best pre-tournament odds: +1600 (FanDuel)

Among those with the shortest odds, though, I’ll go with Collin Morikawa as my best bet. McIlroy’s drought and the difficulty of winning this tournament for a second or third time make me uninterested in backing any of the top three favorites, especially given how that Scheffler and McIlroy’s odds are shorter than 7-to-7 across the board.

The case for the 28-year-old Morikawa revolves around how well he has consistently played at Augusta, where he’s 5-for-5 at making the cut, with top-10 finishes in 2022 (5th), 2023 (T10) and 2024 (T3). That gives him the perfect combination of major upside odds-wise and a legitimate chance to compete for, if not win, this tournament.

Best Masters Longshot Bet: Russell Henley

Best pre-tournament odds: +5500 (DraftKings, FanDuel)

Henley, like Morikawa, has consistently played well at Augusta National, which is a big reason he’s a popular darkhorse entering this weekend.

Having made the cut in each of his last seven starts at The Masters, including a tied-fourth finish in 2023 after top-15 finishes in 2017 and 2018, the Georgia native has proven he’s capable of playing well on this course.

That — plus the momentum he currently has after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March (one of four top-10 finishes he’s already notched in 2025) — makes Henley as tempting a bet as any of the longshot options.

Obviously, playing close to home won’t be a big factor if the former four-time All-American at University of Georgia doesn’t play well on Thursday and Friday. But Henley’s local roots could become one of the stories of the 2025 Masters — and provide a huge boost for him — if he’s still in contention going into Sunday’s final round.
