Tiger Woods Arrest Update as Mugshot Released After Crash
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office released the mugshot of Tiger Woods to Newsweek, following the golf legend’s arrest earlier on Friday, as the 50-year-old Woods is accused of DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after a rollover crash.
Authorities said the wreck occurred just before 2 p.m. in Jupiter Island, Florida. Martin County Sheriff John M. Budensiek said in a news conference that the initial investigation by the Jupiter Island Police Department found that the driver of the Land Rover involved in the two-vehicle crash may have been impaired.
Officials later confirmed Woods and the other driver involved were not injured.
Budensiek said the investigation shows the Land Rover overtook the pickup truck, clipped the back of the trailer and rolled over. The driver of the Land Rover, identified as Woods, climbed out of the passenger-side door and showed signs of impairment, according to the sheriff.
“We really weren’t suspicious of alcohol being involved in this case, and that proved to be true at the jail. Mr. Woods did a Breathalyzer test, blew triple 0s, but when it came time for us to ask for a urinalysis test, he refused and so he’s been charged with DUI, with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test,” Budensiek said in part.

This is a developing story that will be updated with additional information.
