Tiny Puppy Causing Mischief Leaves Internet in Stitches: ‘Knows He’s Bad’
The owner of a mini dachshund named Jax shared a series of clips of her pup misbehaving in every possible way, and internet users can’t cope with it.
The viral video shared on TikTok on Friday under the username @jaxtheminiweenie, shows footage of Jax trashing his owner’s living room, chewing her furniture, peeing on the couch, and generally just misbehaving.
“I hope his birth mom knows he’s bad,” reads layover text in the clip, as footage continues to show the small pup jumping up and down in his playpen trying to escape, before sipping on his owner’s wine. “And that’s not even the half of it.”
Most dogs misbehave from time to time, especially puppies, who may struggle to take on lessons from their training. However, with patience and consistency you can achieve great results. It’s important to train your puppy in different environments such as the house, the yard and at the park, and then repeat this step until you are sure they get it.
While your pup will refuse to listen sometimes, you should never use punitive or harsh training practices, because they not only don’t work, but can and will damage the bond you’re building with them, says the American Kennel Club.
Ignoring their bad behavior and rewarding the good things they do with praise or treats is the best way to go. For life-saving commands, like “come,” you should reward your pup lavishly every time they get it right.
If you’re training a small dog, it is advisable to socialize them with dogs of similar size in the beginning, for their own safety. If you allow them near a bigger one keep interactions supervised and pick a well-behaved dog.
The AKC explains that socializing your dog doesn’t mean teaching them to interact with every other canine. Instead it can actually teach the pup to ignore distractions, like a big noisy dog nearby.

The video went viral on social media and it has so far received over 345,200 views and 54,300 likes on the platform.
One user, BubblesBarf, commented: “I feel like the blondish haired dachshund are the orange cat of their breed.”
Terry Lamb said: “My baby will be 6 months this month and finally stopped biting EVERYTHING. Just lost his last baby tooth.”
Hotdogtodd added: “Oh my gosh the biting at the pants when walking 24/7!!!! Drives me nuts.”
