Top Landing Spots For Von Miller Following Shocking Bills Release

The Buffalo Bills made a shocking decision to release veteran pass rusher Von Miller on Sunday. Releasing Miller saves the Bills money but now the star will be a free agent once again.

Miller and the Bills could reunite, just at a lower cost but he is also free to land elsewhere. The former Super Bowl MVP isn’t the same player that he once was but he can still bring experience and sacks to the table.

Last year, Miller recorded 17 total tackles and six sacks over 13 games played. But where could he land?

Here are the top landing spots for Miller following this news:

5. Green Bay Packers

The Packers could use someone like Miller to help add more depth to their defensive unit. Green Bay is tired of losing in the playoffs and Miller could help them get over the jump.

While he wouldn’t lead the defense, he could provide a strong presence to the team. Plus, in a one-game playoff situation, Miller could be a huge asset to have.

4. Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati is in line for a pass rusher this offseason, especially with them possibly trading away Trey Hendrickson. Miller wouldn’t be able to hold down the defense alone but he could provide some stability to this Bengals team.

Miller could get to compete for a Super Bowl, playing alongside quarterback Joe Burrow. The fit would work well but the Bengals may not want to bring an older pass rusher into the mix.

3. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams’ defense is fairly young and getting better each season. Would Miller be open to a return to Los Angeles to be a veteran presence?

Los Angeles could use another pass rusher and Miller wouldn’t need to be relied upon too heavily. This match could be perfect for the final years of his career.

2. Denver Broncos

A return to the Broncos can’t be ruled out, especially with Denver making the postseason a year ago. Denver normally has a strong defense and Miller could bring some experience to the table.

This Broncos team is on the rise and adding a player like Miller could help their chances. Plus, the storyline of his return would be one of the best around the NFL.

1. Buffalo Bills

Due to his age, a reunion with Buffalo tends to make sense. Miller showed that he is still capable of helping a defensive unit and the Bills know him well after his few years there.

Miller could go for another Super Bowl title with Buffalo, aiming for his third. The Bills have some unfinished business to attend to, with Miller going along for the ride.
