Top WWE Star Suffers Devasting Injury

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne suffered an apparent injury at a WWE NXT house show on Thursday night. The incident took place at the live event in Columbus, Ohio.

The injury occurred during a tag team match that pitted Jayne and her Fatal Influence stablemate, Fallon Henley, against the team of Sol Ruca and Zaria.

According to a report from the event, Jayne suffered a possible quadriceps injury during the bout. She was forced to tag out of the match before the finish.

After the tag, the referee threw up the “X” symbol, which is used to signify a legitimate injury to backstage personnel. Following the conclusion of the match, Jayne was helped to the back by WWE’s medical team.

Jayne has been the reigning NXT Women’s Champion since May of this year, when she defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the title. This is not her first time dealing with an injury, as she also suffered a broken nose in a match in April 2024.

The potential injury comes at a difficult time for the champion. This past Tuesday, she captained Team NXT in a losing effort in the 10-woman elimination tag team match at the historic NXT vs. TNA Showdown special event.

The wrestling world now awaits an official update from WWE on the severity of Jacy Jayne’s injury. A significant injury could not only force her to vacate the NXT Women’s Championship but also drastically alter the creative plans for the women’s division on the road to the Halloween Havoc special later this month.
