Travis Kelce Reveals Taylor Swift Movie Night Details
Travis Kelce revealed details about his movie nights with girlfriend Taylor Swift on a new episode of his New Heights podcast.
Newsweek reached out to Kelce’s representative via email for comment on Wednesday.
The Context
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, and pop star, 35, have been linked for nearly two years beginning in July 2023. Kelce was spotted at Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri at the time, and she was seen in the crowd at his NFL games. They confirmed they were a couple in October that same year at a Saturday Night Live after-party.
What To Know
On Wednesday’s episode of New Heights, which Kelce co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, the siblings briefly chatted about Swift during their “Film Club” segment.
Once a month, the duo watches and reviews classic movies, often from their childhood. They ask listeners for film suggestions and share their views about whether they stand the test of time.
“We need to pick a genre,” Travis Kelce said. “Do we want to do summer blockbusters? Maybe one of our favorites—Adam Sandler films in honor of Happy Gilmore coming out in July? We could do summer scaries if you guys want to do some scary movies, get into some horror films—movies that give you f****** nightmares.”

“Scary movies are fun to revisit because they’re just absurd,” Jason Kelce said. “They don’t make any sense. Half of them are not even relevant anymore because of technology, like they’d be so easily solved in today’s age by phones and whatnot.”
The brothers floated films like 10 Things I Hate About You, American Pie and She’s All That. When Pretty Woman was suggested, Travis Kelce made a quick sidenote.
“Could do Brink! We mentioned Pretty Woman—that’s been on me and Tay’s movie list for a while,” the Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? host said, referring to the nickname he gave Swift. “I’m down to watch that.”
After news of their romance went public, Kelce has spoken out numerous times about Swift on New Heights.
During an April 2024 episode of the show, the football star credited his girlfriend with bringing new fans to the sport.
“It’s fun, man,” he told guest Lil Dicky. “I’m having a blast in life, baby, just flying high and enjoying it all… bringing new lives to the football world and opening the football world up to new things.”
What People Are Saying
In the comments underneath the podcast on Spotify, fans were quick to make “Film Club” suggestions.
Spotify user LG wrote: “I’ve been rewatching some 90s movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions, those types. I actually still enjoy them lol! Also, how about some M. Night Shyamalan movies! Local Philly guy. Some of them are silly, but The Village and Signs are two that are really good.”
Svaughn said: “Gremlins, Breakfast Club, Goonies, Shanghai Noon [are] the bomb!”
Judy Kerka Salmon added: “Here is a girly Disney 90s one for you with a little sports, High School Musical. Curious to find out if it is a rewatch or first watch.”
Megan chimed in: “3 Ninjas, Steel Magnolias, Tommy Boy.”
What Happens Next
New episodes of New Heights are released on Wednesdays on platforms like Wondery, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.
The Chiefs’ preseason begins on August 9.
