Truist Championship 2025: Golfer Payout of PGA Tour Signature Event

The 2025 Truist Championship, the sixth Signature Event of the season, is the next stop on the PGA Tour. The tournament debuts under its new name following a change in sponsorship last season.

Rory McIlroy is the defending champion and will be looking for his fifth career victory at the event formerly known as the Wells Fargo Championship, and fourth this season.

However, the 2025 edition will not be played at its usual venue of Quail Hollow, as the iconic course will host the PGA Championship, the second major of the season, a week later.

That is a detail that could completely change the game.

The Truist Championship will be played at The Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course, a venue that has maintained a relatively low profile in professional golf.

Although, it did host the 2015 PGA Professional National Championship, the 2016 PGA Tour Champions’ Kaulig Companies Championship and the 2024 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship.

Like nearly every Signature Event, the Truist Championship has a purse of $20 million. The winner’s share will be $3.6 million and all players will receive money as it is a no-cut event.

The event features most of the top players on the PGA Tour this season. Surprisingly, the World No. 1 and second in the FedEx Cup rankings, Scottie Scheffler, will miss the tournament after his spectacular win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson last week.
