UK, France, Ukraine Agree to Work on Ceasefire Deal to Present to US
U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Britain and France agreed to work with Ukraine on a ceasefire plan to present to the United States.
The announcement comes following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Oval Office clash with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Speaking to the BBC on Sunday, Starmer expressed confidence that Trump seeks a lasting peace in Ukraine. He reiterated that American security guarantees would be essential to ensuring its success.
Later today, Starmer will host a summit of European leaders in London to discuss the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
