Ukraine Loses Another F-16 Fighter Jet

Ukraine has lost another F-16 after an emergency forced the pilot to eject during a mission to repel a Russian attack.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported the F-16 crash in a post on Telegram.
It is Ukraine’s third known F-16 loss during the war with Russia. The other two were reported in August 2024 and April 2025.
The post said communication was lost with the aircraft at around 3:30 a.m. local time on Friday morning.
“According to preliminary data, the pilot destroyed three air targets and worked on the fourth, using an aircraft cannon,” the air force said.
“However, an emergency situation arose on board. The pilot took the plane away from the settlement and successfully ejected.
“Thanks to the prompt work of the search and rescue team, the pilot was quickly found and evacuated.
“The pilot’s health is satisfactory, he is in a safe place, life and health are not threatened.”
Officials are investigating what happened.
The first set of F-16 deliveries arrived in Ukraine in July 2024.
This is a developing article and more information will be added soon.
