The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said it had detected and tracked a Russian military aircraft operating near Alaska on Tuesday, July 22, though it remained in international airspace.
The Russian aircraft was operating in the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), NORAD said, without specifying its type.
