Vikings Announce Big JJ McCarthy Update Amid Injury Concerns
Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy missed five games due to an ankle injury that he suffered in Week 2. Following his return, the signal caller suffered another injury, leading to many concerns. Now, the team has announced a huge update on his Week 11 availability.

The Vikings are currently without a solid quarterback room, as Carson Wentz underwent season-ending shoulder surgery. Apart from McCarthy, the team only has rookie Max Brosmer as a backup.
If McCarthy were to suffer another injury that would sideline him, it would put the Vikings in a tough spot. It might also lead to the young passer being considered to be a bit injury-prone.
McCarthy popped up on the injury report with a right hand ailment, which led to him being limited on Wednesday’s injury report. However, the Vikings announced some huge news regarding the injury report on Thursday.
Per the injury report, McCarthy was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. Whatever the case is for his right hand, it has appeared to heal in a way that has led to him being upgraded.

There were many concerns that McCarthy would not get to play due to the injury occurring on his throwing hand. That appears not to be a concern now.
Things can get worse and become more complicated, but McCarthy may be taken off the injury report on Friday if his hand remains in a good spot.
Minnesota is currently 4-5 on the season, and is still in the running for a playoff spot. After a disappointing loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10, the Vikings need to bounce back against the Chicago Bears.
A strong performance from McCarthy can also help to alleviate the concerns surrounding his durability and his ability to lead the Vikings to much-needed wins.
